C. Wilbur "Bill", on June 12, 2006, in Glen Ridge. He was an accountant and comptroller for Bankers National Life Insurance Company. He was also employed by Chubb Insurance as an accountant before retiring in 1983. He attended Rutgers University, Newark, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater in the military police. He will be missed by his wife of 62 years, Jean, and children, Judith Louise Carlson, Dorothy Jean Carlson Wilkie, and son-in-law Dave, and also by Ellen Joan Carlson, and by sons, Warren John and Andrew James Carlson, and by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation hours will be Thursday 6-9 p.m. and funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Van Tassell Chickene-Brown Funeral Home, 337 Belleville Ave., Bloomfield. Interment Mount Hebron Cemetery, Upper Montclair. Contributions to First Lutheran Church Food Bank, 153 Park St. Montclair, N.J., would be appreciated.
