Bob was born the son of Robert E. Bolton, Sr. and Alice (Bogema). He was a resident of Joliet, IL, for nine years, and previously lived in Marquette, MI; Alanson, MI; and Blissfield, MI. He was an active member of Ridgewood Baptist Church in Joliet, and a former Board member of the Michigan Association of Christian Schools. He was involved as an administrator of four Christian Schools in the Northern Michigan area. He was also a gifted athlete who was involved in the coaching at those schools of the various basketball and soccer teams. He passed away at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, and is survived by his loving family; his wife, Barbara Bolton (nee Mancour); children, Bert (Miriam) Bolton, Ann Bolton, Mary (Don) Lingle, and Ruth Bolton; a brother, Dick Bolton; a sister, Bette (Bill) Webb; six grandchildren, Jonathon, Joshua, Joel Bolton, Elizabeth, Colton, and Katie Jean Lingle; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
