Luis Lamont Martinez
1972-2022
Lamont was born on April 1, 1972 to Tony and Penny Martinez in Salt Lake City, Utah. He left this earth on November 6, 2022. Lamont finished High School in Layton at Layton High. Together with Tanya Ostrowski they had a wonderful son, Trentton Martinez. Lamont did things his way. His love for country music and cold beer was known by all. He was a Garth Brooks impersonator for years in his 20's and 30's and excelled at it. He lived with Chris Ledoux for several months at the age of 13 after his fathers death in 1985. He worked at Utility Trailer for 20 years as a paint tech and was very proud to do so. He loved performing for care centers and did it at his own cost. He also loved taking the guitar camping with family and friends. He was a jokester and loved to make people laugh.
Lamont is survived by his brothers Antony & Hank Martinez and his sister Lois Martinez Maughan. His son and daughter-in-law, Trentton (Brooklyn) Martinez and several nieces and nephews. Sisters-in-law, Pamela Martinez & Kimberly Martinez.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, and sister Kathryn Martinez Tower. Lamont's family would like to thank Keisa Martinez for being there for Lamont over the past couple of years and caring for him until the end. Also Tender Care Hospice, especially Angel Estes, CNA and Steve Evans, for their diligent work and friendship in keeping Lamont comfortable for the last few months.
A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Saturday November 12, 2022 from 3:00-6:00pm at 4282 South 1650 West, Ogden Utah, 84405 at the Kemp Jet building, Ogden Airport. He wanted all of his friends and family to be there.
