Marvin Harrell, age 89, passed away October 25, 2022, from pancreatic cancer, with his family by his side. He was born November 9, 1932 in Toledo, OH to James and Helen Harrell. He was a 1950 graduate of Clay High School and was employed by Sun Oil Refinery for 38 years, retiring in 1988. Marv was a veteran of the Korean War, and was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He loved playing cards and golf, and had homes in Alamo Country Club, (TX) and Santee Golf Course (SC), before returning to Ohio in 2004. Marv was a member of Dunberger Post and Oak Shade Grove, where he volunteered several years cooking potatoes for the GAF.

In 1952, Marv and his wife Rosie began their journey of over 70 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves behind daughters Laura and Robin, a brother, Jim, a sister, Beverly, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Lynn, and a sister, Donna. Special thanks to Mary Ellen, John, his primary nurse Laura and his entire hospice care team.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd in Oregon on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Private graveside services will be held and Marv will be laid to rest with military funeral honors at Lake Township Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Hospice Home Comfort Care, Perrysburg, OH.
