Belwood – Mr. Harold Floyd Miller, 71 passed away at Carolina's Medical Center on Saturday, January 19, 2008.
Harold was a man who enjoyed life. He loved working, gardening, traveling and meeting new people. His family was his pride and joy, but his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Mr. Miller was the owner and operator of Miller's Convenience Store and Express Food Mart. He was also a member of Norman's Grove Baptist Church and the Hibritan Lodge #262. Mr. Miller was also proud of his service in the US Navy, which he served for four years.

His father, Floyd Theodore Miller precedes him in death.

He is survived by his wife, of 51 years Asilee Collins Miller; mother, Maggie Penland Miller of Lenoir; two sons, Mitch Miller and wife Renada of Boone and Ken Miller and wife Ann of Belwood; brother, Reece Miller and wife Mary of Hickory; sister, Janet Lawrence and husband Rev. Gary Lawrence of Boone; and three grandchildren, Caleb Miller, Cole Miller, and April Miller.

Funeral: Monday at 3:00 p.m. at Norman's Grove Baptist Church.

Burial: Norman's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, with Military Honors and Masonic Graveside Rites.

Visitation: Will be on Monday form 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Norman's Grove Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Memorials: May be made to Norman's Grove Baptist Church, c/o Lynn Willis, 309 Casar-Belwood Rd., Lawndale, NC 28090.
