Francis L. Wilcox was born on March 14, 1950, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the daughter of Raymond and Gladys (Young) Wilcox. She received her education at Central Webster High School in Burnside.
On February 24, 1968, Frankie was united in marriage to James "Jim" West at the Christian Church in Lehigh, Iowa. Their marriage was blessed with two sons, Lonnie and Rick.
Frankie worked as a waitress and cook at the Wilcox Cafe in Lehigh, as a CNA at Grandview Health Care Center, and later at Casey's General Store in Dayton.
She enjoyed puzzles, fishing, crocheting, Bible studies with her neighbors, and most importantly the time spent with her family.
Frankie is preceded in death by her parents, son, Lonnie Ray West, and her sister, Betty Elsberry.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jim West; son Rick (Stacey) West; grandchildren, Sarah (Kirk) Kelley, Stefan West (Jessica Alice), and Rachel (Brenden) Kelley; great-grandchildren, Kyah Kelley, Kaden Kelley, Kolton Foster, Kinze Foster, MaKenna Mendenhall, Jaxsen West, Stella West, and Oaklyn Kelley; her sister, Sharon (John) Porter; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
