Dorothea Fürstin von Lieven ( Dorothea Fürstin von Lieven , born on December 30, 1784 in Riga , died on January 27, 1857 in Paris , France ) was the wife of the Russian envoy Christoph von Lieven of Baltic German origin, an influential mediator of European diplomatic circles in London and Paris in the 19th century at the beginning and in the middle, nicknamed Sibylle diplomatique de l'Europe ("Sibyl of European diplomacy") because of her political foresight.
