Linda Louise Balkcum ( Lennie Louise Worley on marriage certificate.

Arden - Linda Louise Balkcum, 79, went home to be with Jesus on Friday, March 9, 2007, at the John F. Keever Solace Center, Asheville. A native of Buncombe County, she was a member of God's Filling Station.

Mrs. Balkcum was the daughter of the late Sango and Minnie Mae Louisa Jones Worley, and the widow of Elvin Odell Balkcum, who died Nov. 9, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her son, Harold Freeman.

Surviving are her daughters, Deborah Gail Shepard, De De Barger, Jerri Hart and Donna Cishek; sons, Ray and Steve Freeman, and DeWayne Sherlin; sisters, Josie Cassada, Daisy Luther and Mamie Clark; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; special pet, Sassy.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn, Candler, with the Rev. John Hart and Pastor James Gass officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
