A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo. Synod and served as a trustee for 24 years at Camp Linn Haven in Linville. He had retired from Hickory Construction after 25 years and also from Crowder Construction.
He is survived by two sons, Alan W. Bolick and wife, Donna, of Conover, Terry Bolick and wife, Jeannine, of Hickory; three daughters, Kathy Starr of Newton, Rebecca Pruett of Hickory, Deanna Hice of Conover; sister-in-law, Agnes Bolick of Hickory; grandchildren, Chasity Richter of Hickory, Tracie Hice of Conover, Andy Pruett of Hickory, Dusty Starr of Greenville, Courtney Pruett of Greenville, Kalen Bolick of Hickory; and a great-grandson, Daniel Richter of Hickory.
The funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, at St. Stephens Lutheran Church Mo. Synod, with the Rev. David Guelzow and the Rev. David Ziehr officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
