Roland was born on June 28, 1929 and passed away August 18, 2022. He was born in Lovelady, Texas and moved to Jacksonville in 1955 from Pasadena to continue his career with Nichols Industries. He owned and operated Adams Cherokee Storage and enjoyed raising cattle and timber. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and the Goodfellows Class for many years. He was active in the Jacksonville community as a member of the Lions Club, Tops in Texas Rodeo Association, hosting National Neighborhood Night Out and many 4th of July ice cream and hotdog socials at Lake Jacksonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Lucille (Jordan) Adams, and loving wife Mary Ella Adams.
Left to cherish Roland's memory are his son, Cliff Adams and wife Ann of Tyler; granddaughter, Elizabeth Adams of Dallas; grandson, Jake Adams and wife Emily of Tyler; and great grandsons Luke Adams and Nathan Adams of Tyler; sister Yvonne Otis of Lovelady; and nephew Trey Otis of Houston.
Rather than customary condolences, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church in his memory.
