Richard Barry Cooper, 74 of Malden, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Winchester Place in Bernie, Missouri.

Barry, son of E. A. "Lefty" and Patricia Mills Cooper, was born on Friday, September 5, 1947 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

He was a self-employed roofer; part owner of the bowling alley; and loved bowling, playing cards and a Deacon at the Presbyterian in Dexter; and a member of the Elks Lodge in Dexter.

On January 20, 1990, Clarkton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Linda Gaye Bell. She preceded him in death on February 27, 2017.

His survivors include two sons, Brian Cooper and wife, Tammy of Ironton, Brandon Church of Dexter; two daughters, Christa Howarth and husband, Sean of Texas, Brandi Juden and husband, Andrew of Dexter; one sister, Debby Wiseman and husband, Mike of Malden; two brothers, Mike Cooper of Campbell and Charles Cooper of Malden; eight grandchildren, Brittany Summers (Gary) Christian Cooper, Hassan Almoussa, Brianna Cooper, Allyssa Cooper, Dakota Cooper, Aiden Church and Jacey Church; two great-grandchildren, Caiden Whitlock and Zoey Summers; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia Cooper and grandson, Cyrus Cooper

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. with Reverend Randy Wiseman officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Dexter City Cemetery in Dexter, Missouri.
