Bobby Clay Allen, eighty-four, passed Saturday, August 6, 2022, at home in Asheville, North Carolina. Bobby was born March 24, 1938, to the late James Earl Allen and Fuchsia Webb Allen in Asheville.

Bobby graduated from North Buncombe High School, then from Blue Ridge Community College. He served in the United States Army. Bobby loved all trade work: building, electrical and masonry work. He was retired from his work as a Buncombe County Electrical Inspector.

Bobby loved his family, and especially his grandchildren. He loved sunny weather, the beach, lake trips, and being outdoors. Bobby was of Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a son, Randy Clay Allen, and a grandson, Jonathan Clay Moore.

Surviving are his wife, Alline J. Allen; children, Sandra Allen Moore of Weaverville, North Carolina, and Judy Allen Reid (John Reid) of Greenville, South Carolina; and grandchildren, Brittany Moore Earl (Tyler Earl) of Hartsville, South Carolina, and Emily Reid and Kyle Reid of Greenville, South Carolina.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends between two and four o'clock the afternoon of August 10, 2022, at the Allen residence.
