Born in Chicago, Mr. Manning was the son of the late George William and Evelyn Glynn Manning. He spent his career as a builder; enjoyed reading the Bible, spending time with his wife, running half-marathons, and hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Bert Manning, Susan Sheppard, Jayne Marvel, Darrell Belcher, and Derek Belcher; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and 12 nieces and nephews. Predeceased were three children, Marilee, Debra, and Robert; and one great-grandson, Elijah.
