Edwin Rodriguez-Hernandez officiating. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum in the St. Alphonsus Cemetry under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home, Bunkie.

Juliana Desselles Girouard, age 80 of Lafayette, LA, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Lady of the Oaks. She was born and raised in Hessmer, LA. Juliana was a retired nurse where she worked at numerous nursing homes in Hessmer and Lafayette. She loved reading, spending time with family, and caring for others. Juliana had a great passion to care for people. She lived for her children, grandchild and great grandchild. She loved cooking and was a awesome cook. She was a go-getter, anything she set out to do was accomplished. She believed if something went wrong that we were to realize our mistake, learn from it and look forward. She was a great listener without making judgements. She was always there for you no matter what. She ran circles around us and kept us on our toes. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cecile Guillory Desselles Lambert; her father, Wade Desselle; her brother, Jim Desselle; her grandmother, Julia Guillory; her grandfather, Landry Guillory; and her uncle, Thomas Guillory.
