Ray E. Parks, 64, of 544 Banta Road, West Manchester, died unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 at Sugar Island, Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Born March 13, 1937, he was the son of the late Elmer Stanley and Geneva Parks. He was a self-employed farmer. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Mary (Hans) Parks; a daughter, Regina Kay (Harold) James; a son, Richard Edward (Amie) Parks; grandchildren, Kyle Justin and Trent Derek James; sisters, Bertie Smith, Eleanor Hanna, Jean Milholland; and brothers, Vernon Parks, Harold Parks and Lee Parks.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Wares Chapel United Methodist Church, 1060 Foos Road, West Manchester. Burial will be in Wares Chapel Cemetery. Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
