Beulah Ruth Benedict, age 89 of Delton, passed away on June 29, 2022. Beulah was born on June 6, 1933 in Omena, Michigan, the daughter of Donald and Eleanor (Erickson) Kiersey. Faith was very important to Beulah and she was very involved with her church, Grace Lutheran Church. Beulah was employed by EW Bliss where she met her husband, Maurice. Even though she worked for a time, she loved being a stay at home mother. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and quilting. Beulah is survived by her children: Sandra (Ronald) Hayward, Alan Benedict, and Christine (Alan) Swank; grandchildren: Naomi (Craig) Jones, Tonia (Ryan) Maesen, Brian Hayward, Douglas Swank, Sarah Swank, and Zachary (Amanda) Swank; several great grandchildren; brother, Gerald Kiersey; and several nieces and nephews. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maurice Benedict; grandson, Michael Benedict; siblings: Denver Kiersey, Donald Kiersey, Robert Kiersey, Hugh Kiersey, Ralph Kiersey, and Georgia Alpers. Private burial at Cedar Creek Cemetery will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions to Grace Lutheran Church will be appreciated.
