Born April 12, 1918, in Dillon County, South Carolina, and raised in Marlboro County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late John Henry and Maggie Dew Kersey.
She retired from the First National Bank of South Carolina, Columbia, in 1978. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Gilbert, and a former member of State Street Baptist Church, Cayce, where she taught Sunday School.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Bryan Coke Addy; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Sam Gorham of Hickory, North Carolina; two grandsons, Sam (Christine) Gorham, IV of Norcross, Georgia and Greg Gorham of Hickory, North Carolina; great-grandson, Peyton Gorham of Norcross, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 p. m. Tuesday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, with the Rev. Todd Kornahrens officiating. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens, West Columbia.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
