Emmerson "Bo" King, 80, of Marshall, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.
Bo was born April 12, 1942 in Madison County, NC to his late parents, Chester and Sophia Rice King. After high school, in January of 1965, he was drafted into the US Army during the Vietnam War, returning home in December of 1966. He worked construction afterwards until retirement, was an avid bow hunter and trout fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Paul, Catherine, Jerda, Pender and Shad, and Linda's daughter, Carla Gahagan Davis.
Left to cherish his memory is his longtime love and partner of 26 years, Linda Wagner, her children: Nancy Wild, Malinda Lawson, Donna Anders and Francisco Lopez, siblings: Alberta Jeffers, Eldridge King, Mary Tullock, Margaret Cole, LC King and Patsy Jones, special friend, Sammy Lane, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and other special friends.
A graveside service will be conducted by the family on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverends Matthew Honeycutt and Jimmy Dean Hensley officiating.
