Charles Maurice "Morris" Jones, son of Charles Oscar and Victoria Milczske Jones, was born July 20, 1929, in Boelus, Nebraska. He departed this life Sunday, January 26, 2003, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, six months, and six days.
On September 10, 1981, he was united in marriage to Marie Ogle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Charles Wayne Jones; a stepson, Dennis Porter.
Morris is survived by his wife, Marie, of the home; four daughters, Gail Nellist, of Lyndonville, New York, Victoria Harrison, of Stoutland, Missouri, Carolyn Rubles, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, and Georgia Sebeniecher, of Eldridge, Missouri; a son, Roger Jones, of Lebanon, Missouri; a stepdaughter, Debbie Ogle, of Eldridge, Missouri; six stepchildren from a previous marriage, Sandra Hurt, Tommy Dibben, Alberta Seaton, James Porter, John Porter, and Donita Hill; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Buddy Jones, of Ravenna, Nebraska; a sister, Millie Mullins, of Ravenna, Nebraska; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born in Nebraska and lived most of his early years with his aunt, Stella Lillard, in the Lebanon, Missouri area. He continued to make his home in the Lebanon for most of his adult years. He worked as a carpenter for many years and has left his mark on several buildings in and around Lebanon.
Morris had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where one of his favorite activities was fishing. He also enjoyed making road trips with no set destination in mind.
Morris will be remembered for his unique characteristics that made him special.

Services will be held at 10:00a.m. in the Holman-Howe Drawing Room January 29, 2003. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon, Missouri.
