Onia Mae Abell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Huston Hoosier and Lottie Ellen Burress Hoosier, was born September 14, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at her home in Campbellsville, Wednesday, June 1, 2022 in Campbellsville. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Johnnie Abell April 3, 1964 and he preceded her in death December 21, 2020. Onia brought joy and happiness to all her family and friends and was known to have a loving and generous heart. Onia is survived by two daughters: one daughter-in-law,; one step-son and one step-daughter: four grandchildren: four great-grandchildren: several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Zelma several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Onia was also preceded in death by a step-son, Greg Abell; two sons-in-law, Michael Callahan and Billy Ellis; one great-grandchild, Grant Pyles and five brothers and four sisters: Wilma Karnes, Bradley Hoosier, Jack Hoosier, Coakley Hoosier, Willie Hoosier, Velma Bailey, Elmer Hoosier, Nellie Goode, and Hettie McDonald.
