Betty Lois Bass, age 87, was born on August 1, 1934, in Kissimmee, Florida, and she entered her eternal home in Heaven, on April 13, 2022, to be with our Blessed Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and her heavenly family. She was part of a pioneer family of Osceola County. Betty trusted Christ as her Saviour in 1971; the late Pastor Billy Rigsby led her and her husband, Joe, to the Lord in their home. She was an active member of Eastern Avenue Baptist Church, St Cloud, Florida.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Swanson and Mairson Clemons, her husband of 55 years, Joe L. Bass; her brothers J.C. Clemons and Billy Clemons, and her sister, Jean Roebuck; and one great-granddaughter, Kirstyn Snyder.
Betty is survived by her brother, Maynard Clemons, who lives in Italy; her children: Joe H. Bass of Florida, Chyrle (Ronnie) Munson, David (Donna) Bass, and Michael (Noemi) Bass all of Florida; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Betty worked at Mercury Marine in St. Cloud, Florida, for almost 10 years; she completed 19 years as a foster parent; she was a homemaker, as well as, participating in many other jobs.
Betty loved flower gardening; she enjoyed doing needle point,
crocheting, and reading.
Services for Betty will be Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the Eastern Avenue Baptist Church, St. Cloud, Florida, with the Reverend Jim Callen Officiating. Interment to follow at Osceola Memory Gardens in Kissimmee, Florida. Active casketbearers will be: Scott Abshier, Josh Bass, John Dutt,
Mike Hulon, Chris Borotkanics and Jonathan Kidwell.
