James Hardy Boswell, Jr., 67, of Mechanicsville, died January 12, 2008.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Joan M. Boswell; and his three children, Earl Boswell (Laurie), William Boswell (Cathy), and Jennie-Beth Barrett (Sean); also eight grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Newcomb and Maxine Rowe, both of Amelia.
Mr. Boswell was employed by the Department of Military Affairs, and was retired from the Virginia Army National Guard.
The family received friends Wednesday from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm in Woody Funeral Home - Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd. A graveside service was held Thursday at 2pm in Signal Hill Memorial Park.
