Sharon Rose Dorminey, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Valley View Senior Life in Junction City, KS, at the age of 77.

Sharon was born to Harold and Ruby (Norton) Noffsinger on October 25, 1944 in San Francisco, CA. She left home to join the Women's Army Corps. She served 15.5 years as a court stenographer and did one tour in Vietnam. It is in the Army mail room where she met her husband, Bill. They wed in 1975 and together had two sons, David and Richard.

Sharon loved children. After her military career, she babysat many children, providing fun, hugs and lots of Skittles. Her favorite hobby was quilting. She put care and detail into every quilt she made, never accepting a cent for her labor of love.

Sharon is survived by her husband Bill, her two sons, David (Jennifer) Dorminey of Independence, MO, Richard (Michelle) Dorminey of Junction City, KS, and her grandchildren Johnathan, Kiara, Darian and Ryan.

A visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home 203 N. Washington Street in Junction City, KS. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery with military honors.
