Patricia Ann Cox, 69, died at 6:47 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2000, at the St. Johns Hospital in Springfield.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at the First United Methodist Church in Carterville, with the Rev. Stephen Palmer officiating. Riggin-Pillatsch Funeral Home in Carterville is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Carterville First United Methodist Church.

Patricia was a retired secretary at the Alton Grade School. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carterville. She enjoyed cooking and working in her garden.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1930, in Paducah, to Leeman Moore and Lou McGregory. She married Robert "Bob" Cox in August of 1952, in Alton. He survives of Carterville.

Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Robyn and Kevin Shafer and Lisa and Richard Hands, all of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one brother, Bob Clark of Marion; one granddaughter, Sara Nider of Fort Wayne; and two grandsons, Brian Nider and Tyler Hands, both of Fort Wayne, Ind.
