Rufus Harold (R. H.) DeBary
Rufus, better known to family members as R. H., was born near Mayo, FL, October 25, 1923 to Berta Ruth Lawson DeBary and James Rufus DeBary. His family were farmers. Later he moved to Steinhatchee Springs in Lafayette County, Fl, where he lived for many years. He moved to Ocala, Fl in the early seventies and remained in Ocala for the rest of his life.
R. H. was a quiet, shy person who never married. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He always looked forward to the big family gatherings and holiday celebrations, and he loved to travel with family members. His hobbies included fishing, painting, crafts, and jigsaw puzzles.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers, Virgil and James DeBary, and sisters Ossie Hanegan, Ann Putnam, and Ovida Saunders.
R.H. is survived by, four nieces, nine nephews, and several cousins.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Mayo, with interment at the Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service.
