Hazel Elaine Steadham, 81, of Old River-Winfree, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, in Mont Belvieu, Texas.

Hazel was born January 2, 1941 in California to parents; Benjamin and Ida Pearl Andress Marvick, and former resident of Aruba and Goose Creek. She was a graduate of Lago High School and where her Aruba family originated from. She was a former legal secretary and real estate agent but her most interesting job Justice of the Peace for Mont Belvieu. Hazel was also an honorary member of the local FFA and 4H organizations for all her contributions in building the programs. She enjoyed genealogy, crafts and baking.

Mrs. Steadham was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 40 years: Walter Lean Steadham, and brother: Connie Lewis Marvick and John Leroy Marvick.

She is survived by her children: Linda Steadham Cox and husband Louis Arnel and James Steadham, grandchildren: William Kuby and wife Audra, Derek Steadham and wife Stephanie, Shelby Aycock and husband Adam, Wyatt Cox and Angelina Cox, great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Amelia and Charlie Zane, sister-in-law Joyce Marvick along with numerous other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday May 5, 2022, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Chapel with interment following at Fisher Methodist Cemetery in Mont Belvieu, Texas.
