WALTERS -- Graveside rites for Loren W. Coffey, 74, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Walters Cemetery with the Rev. Dean Thompson officiating.
Loren was born April 4, 1925, at Grandfield, to Loren W. and Ethel Coleman Coffey. He died Nov. 27, 1999, in Oklahoma City.
Reared in the Ahpeatone, he was involved in six invasions in the South Pacific during World War II, and was employed as a newspaper operator working in many states. He was most recently employed at the Duncan farm in Ratliff City. He and his wife, Hazel, were married in 1988, at Countyline.
Survivors include his wife, Duncan; a daughter, Nita J. Tillery, Wichita Falls, Texas; a brother, Kenneth, Kingman, Ariz.; a sister, Imogene Woodall, Duncan; and two grandchildren.
Bearers will be Artie Tolison, Joe Duncan, Clyde Robinson, James Oliver, Ray Maier and Wylie Clark.
Milburn Funeral Home will direct services.
