Edith Ellen Campbell, age 99, passed away peacefully in her home Friday, March 4, 2022. Edith was born August 14, 1922, to Frank and Winnie D. Smith, near Snyder, OK. Edith was the wife of a Minister, and all that encompasses. She was a Good and Faithful servant to God, her husband, and her children. Edith was a friend and prayer warrior. She served her community and others as a nurse for over 40 years, with the last 17 years of her career being a nurse in Crockett, where she lived. She and her husband, Alvin L. Campbell were married 75 years before the Lord called Alvin home on April 26, 2015. Her bright light will be missed here on Earth, but we know that she is finally home in God's Kingdom.

Along with her beloved husband, Edith was preceded in death by her son, Harold Campbell; sister, Emma Lee Edson and husband, Calvin Edson. Edith is survived by daughters, Mary Raborn and husband, Gene of Magnolia, Joan Troutt and husband, Chuck, of Houston; sister, Winna Mae Burns and husband, David; brother, Albert Smith and wife, Joan; grandchildren, Dennis Troutt of Friendswood, Larry Campbell and wife, Kelly of Galveston, Harold D. Campbell of Carrolton, Karen DeLeon and husband, Cesar of Houston, Eric Raborn of Boston, MA, Kimberly Hanschen and husband, Andrew of Houston; 7 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Edith Campbell will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Porter Springs Cemetery, Dr. Bill Jones, officiating. The family will be receiving visitors 1:00 -2:00 p.m. at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home. Matthew 25:23 "His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."
