A U.S. Naval Academy graduate, WW II, Korean Conflict, Capt. Butler retired from the military in 1966. Preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Day Butler; survivors include children, Molly B. Goodenough, Denver, CO, Robert M. Butler, Port Gibson, MS, Barbara B. Davis, Lake Forest, IL, Sally B. Runion, Warrenton, VA; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Interment followed funeral services with full military honors on November 2, 2006.
