Carl Cleveland Abercrombie

Carl Cleveland Abercrombie was born in Alabama on July 2, 1928 and moved with his family to Madera in 1934. He attended Howard Elementary School and graduated from Madera High School in 1947. He attended Stanford University and graduated from Fresno State with an MBA in 1969. He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Murphy, in 1949.
Carl worked with Producers Cotton Oil, and was Vice President with Bank of America in Fresno. He left the bank to go into Financial Management and a Real Estate Broker for many years. He was president of San Joaquin Memorial Boosters Club, president of Serra International's Chapter in Fresno, and was on the Board for the Restoration of St. John the Baptist Cathedral. Carl was a lifelong member of the Shrine of St. Therese.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Patricia, his seven children; Peter, Thomas, Mary Kathleen, James, Jerry, Jeffrey, and KatieAnne, 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Carl passed away surrounded by love with family and long-term caregiver, Linda Rush.
The rite of Catholic burial will be at the Shrine of ST. Therese on March 10, 2022 at 10:00 am beginning with the Recitation of the Rosary.
