Those we love don't go away...They walk beside us every day...Unseen, unheard, but always near...Still loved, still missed and very dear. In Your Memory ~ Rest in Eternal Peace. Carol Anne
Patsy Harrington, age 73, of Latexo passed away, Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at her home. She was born in Crockett in the Old Crockett Clinic, the daughter of Bill Harrington and Faye Johnson Harrington.
After she graduated from Latexo High School, she went to work for Aldrich Abstract. After Miss Mary died, Patsy worked nearly 40 years for Chris Von Doenhoff, after he took over the business. During her working career, this was the only job she held. Patsy was a member of Harvest Church in Crockett.
Patsy loved to fish. After she retired, she fished in the Lake on her Farm. When she was younger, she fished any place or any time she could. She was also known to go frog gigging. One night, her Daddy took us two, to the school lake to gig for frogs. We were about 10 years old. The next experience I had with her fishing, was a trip to Galveston to fish off a big boat. Uncle Hubert went with us this time. I will never forget it. Two old men and two little girls had so much fun. This time Patsy got seasick, so we had to stay on the top deck. Patsy loved to play cards. We played canasta our entire time growing up. Also spending lots of time in the summer with her Ninny and Mama Johnson. I loved Mama Johnson's dumplings, Patsy always wanted "millie grew". Patsy also played the piano. After school, every day, she played Floyd Kramer's Last Date. So many wonderful childhood memories to have. We spent the most of the time at her house. She did not have any little sisters or brothers to bother us.

The last two weeks, I was able to spend several days with her. We were kids again, remembering all the great times we had together. Always take the time to be with your loved ones. You never know when Jesus will want them back.

MEMORIES: Patsy may you Rest In Peace with our Lord. We had some fun times together thru growing up and later in life Our remember our fun trips to Lufkin to go dancing. Love ya girl and will miss you but will see you in heaven one day. Wanda Reed Johnston
My dear sweet cousin Patsy: I remember all the good times we had making mud pies at our grandma's house. I always enjoyed my visits to red sand Crockett from Baytown while on summer breaks. And later on in life, we spent many an hour playing cards & dominos while visiting with our friends Norma & Clayton Brazzil! Also taking care of Uncle Frank when Aunt Lorna died! And lots of fun of late talking for hours on the phone, catching you up on local happenings over the last few years! Your laugh was infectious!! I will miss that the most! God just gained another precious soul to look forward to seeing when we gain our heavenly rewards! I love you precious cousin & friend! Love, Sandy McCullough.
Patsy was married to my cousin for 15 years. She skyways was very nice to me and I know she is with her Lord. May the family find comfort in knowing she walks with Jesus. Nancy Bailey
God bless you sweet lady! Debra Haynes Gambill
Patsy was my step mom for the first fifteen years of my life. She volunteered to become a mom and when I grew up a Mimi. I will always have a special place in my heart for her. I didn't call or visit regularly and I wish I would have. She taught me a lot through my life and gave me a wonderful family.
