Mrs. Atkinson was born August 8, 1926, in Britton's Neck, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Sarah (Sadie) Cribb Woodberry and the late Miley Woodberry. Ms. Jaronie was married to the late Bennie Garner Atkinson, her sweetheart for 65 years. Mrs. Atkinson was a homemaker and a member of Nebo Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Robert Garner Atkinson of Florence, SC.
Surviving Mrs. Atkinson are her daughters: Dawn Edwards Atkinson of Marion, SC, and Renee Atkinson White of Wrens, GA; six grandchildren: Bert Atkinson (Jessica) of Florence, SC, Blake White of Lawrenceville, GA, Jonathan Atkinson of Mullins, SC, Derek Atkinson (Taylor) of Florence, SC, Megan White Wilson (Ben) of Wrens, GA, Brian Atkinson (Jamie) of Hartsville, SC; and nine great grandchildren.
A graveside service for Mrs. Atkinson will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday afternoon, August 5, at Nebo Baptist Church in Britton's Neck, South Carolina.
