A funeral service for Mary Ella Adams of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Central Baptist Church in Jacksonville. Rev. Steve Edwards will officiate along with Mike Miller. She will be laid to rest at Lovelady Evergreen Cemetery in Lovelady, Texas.

A time of visitation will take place Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 5 to 6 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Mary Ella was born August 2, 1931 and passed away on February 20, 2022.

She graduated from Sam Houston University at the age of 19 and taught Home Economics first in Dickenson, TX then Jacksonville High School.

She was an active member of Central Baptist Church since 1955 where she served in the toddlers Sunday school Class for 50+ years. She also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hats for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leon John and Mary Ellen Arnold, and sister Betty June Arnold Maranto.

Left to cherish Mary Ella's memory are her husband of 67 years, Roland Adams of Jacksonville; son, Cliff Adams and wife Ann of Tyler, granddaughter Elizabeth Adams of Dallas, grandson Jake Adams and wife Emily of Tyler and great grandsons Luke Adams and Nathan Adams of Tyler.

Rather than customary condolences, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church in her sweet memory.
