Architect.
He arrived in New York from Southhampton aboard the Resolute on 27 May 1922. The manifest gave his age as 25, and last residence as Chur [Grisons Canton], Switzerland; he proceeded to Chicago, where he was naturalized on 27 September 1929.
He married Marguerite Sloan in the latter 1930s, and they went where his work took them. Their one child was born in Bogota, Colombia, in 1939. Not long afterward, they returned to the US.
One of his salient accomplishments was the restoration of Frank Lloyd Wright's SunTop Homes in Ardmore, Pennsylvania, partially destroyed by a fire in 1941. The Rischs bought the property in 1959 and argued for years with the local zoning board for permission to rebuild. Persistence paid off. They succeeded, and made it their home.
