George L. Wurst, 52, of Rt. 6, Leitchfield passed away December 24, 1983 at his home. He was born March 31, 1931, the son of Edgar Charles & Viola Watkins Wurst. He was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and Plumb Masonic Lodge, Louisville. Survivors include three sons, Scott Wurst, Louisville, Michael E. Wurst, Milltown, IN and George R. Wurst, Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Merry Holley Wurst and Mary Alice Wurst both of Louisville; two brothers, Edgar Lynn Wurst, California and Raymond Wurst, Bowling Green, KY; five sisters, Alma Baxter, Eleanor Jo Vincent, Stella Smith, Anna Titos and Evelyn Hatfield all of Louisville. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive. Services were held December 28, 1983 at W.G. Hardy Shively Chapel, Louisville with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
