Helen was born May 1, 1918, in Brown County, IL to Elsworth and Margaret (Claussen) Louderback.
She was married to Emil Wear on July 13, 1934 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Survivors include her niece, Patricia Crumrine (Ray) of Quincy, IL; great-niece Jennifer Chindarkar (Deven); great-nephews Travis Crumrine (Teri) and David Crumrine (Amanda); as well as many other additional loving great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Chester, Everette, Tom, and Lloyd Louderback; and five sisters, Louise Stephenson, Georgia Stock, Elma Ferrill, Sue Nichols, and Faye Hibbard.
Helen farmed with her husband for many years in the Camp Point/Clayton/Liberty area. After retiring in 1968, they moved to Quincy 2 years later.
Helen was a simple woman whose favorite places to be were at home and at church. She was a longtime member of Bethel Assembly of God Church. A devoted woman of faith, she enjoyed reading her Bible and listening to old hymns. Helen also loved gardening, and always boasted beautiful gladiolus flowers. A talented quilter, she made over 100 quilts in her lifetime! When it came to mealtime, her meal of choice was typically fried chicken, but she would essentially eat anything that was fried. Helen will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Assembly of God Church or Blessing Hospice.
