Funeral service for Ms. Bonnie C. Goss Abel, of Hokes Bluff, will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home with Brother Ryan Morris officiating the service. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Cemetery in Fort Payne, Alabama. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of the service at the funeral home.
Ms. Abel passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John T. Goss Jr., her husband of 2½ years, C.J." Buddy" Abel, her mother, Vera Cornett, her brothers, James Cornutt and Ira Cornutt, her sisters, Linda Stein and Bobbie Swicegood.
Left to cherish the memory of Ms. Abel are her daughters, Donna Sandlin (Larry) and Janet Love (Marlin), her son, Johnny Goss (Kris), her grandchildren, Erin Sandlin Morgan (Taylor), Jessica Sandlin, Adam Love, Scarlet Goss Patterson (Caleb), Kelsey Goss, her great grandchildren, Dylan Lancaster, Dean Morgan, Mazely Ball and Keris Patterson, her sister, Doris Bryant and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Abel was a member of First Baptist Church of Hokes Bluff. She liked to line dance, travel, work with her roses, going to yard sales, attending church outings and attending antique auctions. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family and her church family. She loved God, her family and helping others with anything they might need. She loved her grandchildren more than anything on this earth. She will be missed, but we will be seeing her soon.
Pallbearers will be Larry Sandlin, Adam Love, Dylan Lancaster, Dean Morgan, Caleb Patterson and Robert Morgan
