Harriet (Hattie) K. Glover was born in Douglasville, Douglas County, Georgia in March 1884, to Benjamin Stephen Glover and Martha "Mellie" Baggett. She was the granddaughter of Margaret Brown and John F. Glover, a delegate of the Georgia Constitutional Convention of 1877, whose Convention delegates included African-American delegates. In addition, Hattie was the granddaughter of Wiley Cash Baggett and Louisa Catherine Scoggins.

Hattie's siblings included: Wiley Gordon "Gordon: Glover; John Fryer Glover; Benjamin Paul Glover; Claud Key Glover; Margaret Glover Nunnelee; Ernest Willie Glover; and Blanch Glover Johnson.

By 1900, Hattie moved with her family to Texas, living in Rockwall, Dallas County; and Denison, Grayson County. She married John Oscar Kress October 13, 1901, in Atoka, Oklahoma. They parted after a short marriage, and Hattie moved to Muskogee, Muskogee, Oklahoma to live near some of her siblings.

A "Mrs. Glover" married a W. F. Fisher February 8, 1921, in Muskogee, Muskogee County, Oklahoma. Although, they parted after a short marriage. Hattie continued living in Muskogee, Muskogee, Oklahoma, near some of her siblings.

Hattie is last located in the 1927 Muskogee, Oklahoma phone book.

Hattie likely passed away in 1927 or 1928. A "Harriett" "Hattie" is buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Denison, Grayson County, Texas, the cemetery where her parents and some of her siblings are buried.
