Betty Fronise Vereen Geibel, 80, of Country Meadows, Mechanicsburg, and formerly of Mandy Lane, Camp Hill, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2007 at Country Meadows.
Born on February 7, 1927 in Myrtle Beach, SC, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin F. and Ada (Willard) Vereen, and was the widow of Gerald Geibel.
She was a secretary for Ft. Bragg Military Base and was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Camp Hill.
Surviving are her son, Gregory J. Geibel, Camp Hill; a daughter, Gail Geibel Norris, Alpharetta, GA; and three grandchildren, Joshua Steven Norris, Nicholas Gerald Norris, and Jennifer Nichole Norris. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Dewey, Ruthal, J.B., Sam P. and Richmond Vereen; and one sister, Mozelle Deetz.
A viewing will be held from 3-4 p.m., today, Friday, December 28, 2007 in the Myers-Harner Funeral Home, 1903 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA. Funeral services will be held at 2:45 p.m., on Thursday, January 24, 2008 in the Ft. Myer Post Chapel, Arlington, VA. Burial will be held immediately following the service in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.

AUNT BETTY WAS THE YOUNGEST CHILD BORN TO ADA AND "COONEY" VEREEN. SHE WAS MY GRAND-MOTHERS(MOZELLE) SISTER. THERE WAS 11 YEARS AGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM. THEY WERE THE ONLY TWO GIRLS IN THE FAMILY, ALL THE OTHERS WERE BOYS! REST IN PEACE AUNT BETTY, AND YOU ARE REMEMBERED!!
