Judith was born on April 5, 1941 in Granite City, Illinois; the daughter of the late Homer and Alvina (Meyer) Thurau. She was a Registered Nurse for various hospitals in the St. Louis area and a congregant of the St. John's UCC in Granite City. Judith was a member of the Germans from Russia Society, as well as the Daughters of the American Revolution, and was very active in genealogy and the tracing of her family lineages.
Judith is survived by 5 children, Sharlyn (Vince) Patten of Normal, IL, Kevin Schatz of Ballwin, MO, Steve Schatz of Chicago, IL, Jay Schatz of Clinton, IL, and Teri (David) Dutko of Glen Carbon, IL; Judith is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Bryan Patten, Breanna Patten, Sadie Dutko, and Edison Dutko.
Judith was laid to rest at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon, IL.
