Mrs. Elmer A. Coborn (Leslie) , 67, of 2808 7th Ave., Rock Island, died at 9:30 this morning in Moline Lutheran Hospital.
She had been in poor health for the last six years. The body was taken to Knox-Larson Funeral Home in Rock Island where services will be held at 1 Thursday afternoon. The Rev. George Clark, pastor of the Bethel Assembly of God will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Island Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon tomorrow.
The former Alma Rehmel was born Aug. 4, 1896 in Muscatine, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rehmel. She resided in Muscatine until 1933 when she moved to Viola then moved to Rock Island in 1955.
She was married to Amos Stahnie. Following his death she was married July 30, 1955 in Viola to Leslie Coborn.
She was a member of Bethel Assembly, and the missionary society. She also was a member of the Pythian Sisters of Rock Island, cable of Ladies Aid society and the Mercer County Home Bureau.
Surviving are her husband, four daughters, Muriel Stahnie of Cedar Rapids; Mrs. William Trego of Viola, Mrs. Arthur Ripperton of Orlando, Fla., and Mrs. Roger Angle of Rock Island; two sons, Roy J. and Amos M. Stahnie, both of Viola, 18 grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Eeprez of Pueblo, Colo., Mrs. Maude Berkenvill of Ironton, Mo., and Mrs. Bertha Harvey of Washington, Ia. A sister preceded her in death.

Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Coborn, whose marriage took place Saturday at 5 p.m. in the home of the latter, south of Cable, are vacationing in Wisconsin.
Mrs. Coborn was Mrs. Alma A. Sphanie before the wedding at which Mr. Coborn's son, the Rev. Gerald Coborn of the Assembly of God Church, Abingdon, Ill, offciated.
Her daughter and son, Miss Beverly and Amos Sphanie, attended the couple. Mrs. Coborn wore a light blue eyelet frock and carried red and white gladioli at her wedding.
The Coborn home is at 2808 7th Ave., Rock Island.

Cable -- Mr. and Mrs. Amos Sphanie celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary when friends and neighbors surprised them in their home. Mrs. Roy Sphanie and Mrs. Robert Tomlinson were hostesses. Miss Alma Rehmel and Mr. Sphanie were married April 30, 1930, in Morrison, Ill., by the Rev. Mr. Vecker. They resided in Rock Island and them moved to Cable vicinity several years ago.
Mr. Sphanie has three daughters and two sons by a former marriage. They are Merle Sphanie, Chicago; Mrs. Bernice Ripperton, Davenport; Mrs. Katherine Trego, East Moline; Roy of Cable and Amos Jr., with the army in Germany.
Beverly, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sphanie is at home.

His slumbers disturbed with incessant pleas that he obtain a divorce, Harry Seitz capitulated Saturday and obtained a decree in District Judge W.W. Scott's court, severing the tie that binds him to Alma Seitz.
Seitz, who obtained the divorce on the ground of cruelty, informed the court that Mrs. Seitz, whome he intimated is interested in "another man," would awaken him at 2 and 3 o'clock in the morning to "talk over the divorce." John Weir was his attorney.
