John D. King, age 87, of Muscle Shoals, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2007, at Helen Keller Hospital.

Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, from 2-3 p.m. Service will follow at 3 p.m. at Spry Serenity Chapel, Florence. Officiating will be Brother Ralton McCarley and Brother Shiloh Hackett. Interment will follow in Colbert Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of Mr. King's family.

John was a member of South Highland Freewill Baptist Church, Muscle Shoals. He is survived by his wife, Jane Patton King, of Muscle Shoals; sons, Larry, Kenny and Jerry Patton, all of Muscle Shoals; brothers, Jack King (Gertrude), of Decatur, Ala., Henry King (Pauline), of Muscle Shoals, Ala., Roy King (Faye), of Florence, Ala.; sisters, Eleanor Davis (Bill), Faye Harris, of Florence, Ala., and Lorine Pigg (Charles), of Millbrook, Ala.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to Judy and Southern Care Hospice, and Dr. Ronald McCoy for the love and care given to our dear loved one during the time of his illness.
