daughter of Margaret E. Morse Johnson and Joseph Adelard NaultJanuary 29, 1933 - March 30, 2020
Carole Mae Delude, 87, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 in Ocala, Florida. She was born January 29, 1933 in Brattleboro, Vermont to Margaret E (Morse) (Nault) Johnson and Joseph Adelard Nault.
She married Reginald F. Delude on March 26, 1977 in Northfield, VT. They just celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary.
Carole graduated in the Class of 1951 from Rutland High School in Rutland, Vermont, then traveled to Florida that summer to spend time with her Uncle Lucias in his orange grove near Orlando; so there began her dream to live in Florida. She worked at Rosenblatts Dept. Store, Dunkin Donuts and a local factory prior to being an employee of the State of Vermont.
Carole and Reg enjoyed camping/boating and good times with many friends of the Central Vermont Boating Club every summer. She also enjoyed archery, bowling, bingo and especially her flower and vegetable gardens, always canning like a prudent Vermonter. Carole was an avid Norwich University hockey fan, Boston Red Sox fan and frequently went to Vermont Lake Monster baseball games.
In addition to her parents and step father H. Edward Johnson, Carole was predeceased by two step sisters, Ruth Johnson Bigelow, Martha Johnson Dumouchel, and recently her step brother, Richard Armitage Johnson.
She is survived by the love of her life, Reginald Francis Delude, 2 daughters, 2 grandchildren, 2 step grandaughters, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great granddaughters, several nieces, nephews and 2 sisters.
No formal arrangements will be held at this time. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
