Mrs. Mary McGuire Sleeter, 68, died Friday, Jan. 30, 1959, in her home, 319 Victory avenue after a long illness. A Ballston Spa native, she had lived about 40 years in Schenectady. Her husband, the late Frederick C. Sleeter, died about 18 months ago. Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Rathbun, and a granddaughter, Sara Jane Rathbun, both of Schenectady.
Funeral services at Baxter's Funeral Parlors, thence to St. John, the Evangelist Church, where al 9:30 o'clock a requiem mass was celebrated. Relatives and friends were invited.

The funeral was conducted from the Baxter's funeral parlors at the convenience of the family by Rev. Paul Long Jr. of State street Presbyterian Church. Burial was in German Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Sleeter was born in Schenectady and had lived here all his life. He was a machinist at the General Electric Co. and then worked at the Watervliet Arsenal, where, he retired as a foreman about 10 years ago. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary McGuire Sleeter; a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Rathbun; a brother, Harvey C. Sleeter and a granddaughter, Sara Jane Rathbun.
