Albert Lewis King, 86, of Dana went home to be with the Lord, Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, while at his home after an extended illness.
He was the son of the late Carr King and Dealie Jones King and lived most of his life in Henderson County. He served his country in the Army and was a truck driver who had retired from Yellow Freight Systems. He was a member of Fair Haven Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Ray Earl King; three brothers, Dallas King, Floyd King and Hardie King; three sisters, Rosie Baldwin, Virgie Case and Betha Lou King; and one grandchild.
A special thanks to Four Seasons Hospice and to Dr. Pyles and the staff of the Quality Health Care for their kindness and loving care given during his illness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Katheryn King; two daughters, Betty Justice and her husband, Ellison, of Dana and Kitty Smith and her husband, Lowery; one brother, Forrest King and his wife, Vera, of Edneyville; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of special nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Fair Haven Baptist Church. Pastor Chris Norris and the Rev. Walter Grodon will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Fair Haven Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church. Memorials can be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, N.C. 28731
