She married Joseph Arthur Bastarache (1911–1977) in 1939, and they had 4 children: Elaine Ann Bastarache Canniff Champagne (1941–1998), Paul George Bastarache (1945–1986), Capt. John A. Bastarache and James "Jim" Bastarache.
