Richard Earl Adkins, age 82 of Harrisonville, Missouri died Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Overland Park Regional Medical in Overland Park, Kansas. He was born February 7, 1939 to Stephen Adkins Jr. and Virginia Catherine Tomeo Adkins in Youngstown, Ohio.

Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Adkins of Harrisonville, Missouri; one daughter, Tammy Lemon and husband Mark of Harrisonville, Missouri; two brothers, Steve Adkins and wife Chris of Warren, Ohio and Ronnie Adkins and wife Jami of Berlin Center, Ohio; a sister, Judy Wilk of Charleston, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Mitchell, Megan, Matthew, Myles, Marcus, Mason and Maxwell; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Doris Jean Adkins.
