Mr. Norman Michael Bachelor age 69 of Owltown Rd. Blairsville passed away on Wednesday September 15, 2021 in the N.E. GA Medical Center. He was born on May 7, 1952 in Atlanta, GA., the son of the late Horace Norman Bachelor and the late Kathryn Summerour Bachelor. Mike was a rare man and true gem. It was evident throughout his life that he was a man of much character. Mikes testimony was that he believed in and loved God. Mike loved people and was full of laughter. Never was there a time when you were around Mike that you didn't feel joy and laughter from him sharing stories and events. Mike worked as a Firefighter and EMT for over twenty four years. This job was perfect for him. He was compassionate , dedicated, caring and giving. He always gave more of himself than was expected and didn't want to be recognized for this. Mike was truly a humble man. Mike had an uncanny ability to fix anything. He loved the challenge and his shop was heaven. He was a bright light in a dark place. Mike will be missed tremendously. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to Camp Hosanna in Mike's memory. Mr. Bachelor was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced. Interment will follow in the Coosa United Methodist Church Cemetery.
