John W. Abbott, 67, of Middletown, died Sunday, June 26, 2005, at Middletown Regional Hospital. He was born in Middletown, on October 18, 1937 to parents James and Christine (Barnes) Abbott.

John was a United States Navy veteran and he worked for Miami Carey in Monroe.

Mr. Abbott is survived by one daughter, Lisa (William) Murphy of Cincinnati, OH; his uncle, Jack (Lillie) Barnes of Middletown; and his friends & staff at Gambro-Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 30, 2005 at 1:00 PM at Wilson-Schramm-Spaulding Funeral Home, 3805 Roosevelt Blvd. (at Bonita Dr.) with Reverend Nolan Phillips officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, prior to the service from 11:00 - 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Woodside Cemetery.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Middletown Regional Hospital C.C.U. and to the Middletown Senior Citizens.
