Lucille Edna "Lucy" Fazekas Eberhart, age 84 passed away peacefully August 8th, 2021, at home in Colorado Springs. Lucille was born on March 16th, 1937 in Baltimore, Maryland to Paul & Angela Ryckman.

She was well known for being a sketch artist, painter, and singer. With her former husband Richard, they created unique wood plaques that mom designed, dad cut out of wood and they both would stain, paint, and carve. The variety they created was endless and many of their works are around the world.

She hand painted unique ornaments of Christmas motifs such as Victorian Santa's, 12 days of Christmas and her famous White Bears, based on the White Bear Lake Legend. She also painted the story of the Bible on the walls at Christ the King Lutheran Church.

She was especially known for her drawings of the Great White Bear Legend creating calendars, cards, and more. She was well known for her drawings of the white bear depicting beautiful scenes of well known locations across the town. She was also known for her character drawings taking elements of a person's life and putting it together in a montage, each one personal, unique and fun.

In the last few years she met James Eberhart and while their time was short, James passed November 2020, their life was full, fun, and Mom was very happy having been single since our father Richard Fazekas passed in 1979.

Lucy was known for her generosity, kindness, and always a special sketch for any reason or occasion. She continued sketching to the end. She always encouraged others, had many friends, was loved by so many and would pray with anyone and for everyone. She loved the Lord with all her heart, soul and mind and daily read her Bible, writing down thoughts, poems, or whatever inspired her and shared what she wrote.

She is survived by daughters; Laura, Loann, and son Russ and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Fazekas, Son Robert Fazekas, brother Paul Ryckman and recently by her second husband James Everhart.

A Memorial Service was held Thursday, August 19, 2021 at the First Presbyterian Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A Remembrance Open House was held Saturday, August 28th, at Christ the King Lutheran Church in White Bear Lake, MN.
